Leaders of the PAC

imagine1day’s vision is to connect people to greatness. From May 13-15, 2011, our Development Director, Adam Millard, facilitated Leadership Training for 11 members of imagine1day’s Project Advisory Council (PAC) in Wukro, a small town in Northern Ethiopia.

Adam leads a Leadership Training workshop for 11 members of imagine1day’s Project Advisory Council (PAC)

Over the course of three days, Adam guided PAC members through exercises to help them identify their leadership adaptations, empty their ‘filing cabinets,’ develop effective communication, write their personal visions and set goals.

“In order for Ethiopia to transform through the goals it has set for its own development, the people here need a model for development that allows them to put the past in the past and create a future based entirely in possibility,” explains Adam. “I believe the goal of the training is to give them the tools so they can have ultimate choice through possibility.”

“I appreciate this training very much,” says Kalayu, Kilte Awelalo Education Office Director. “We have never done this type of training before. We have never been encouraged to set personal goals. After this training with Adam, I have learned about possibility and how to create it in my life. I have many goals now and I also have the tools I need to accomplish my goals.”

“The training went better than expected,” Adam reflects. “I didn’t know how people would react to a training that left them with more questions than answers. What I got to see at the end of the training was every single person as a leader and their leadership possibility.”
