Yoga Aid Vancouver 2010

The Yoga Aid Challenge takes place in 12 countries across the world and almost 100 locations. The Challenge is a large scale, 2 hour yoga practice for which we encourage participants to engage in personal fundraising for charity. The event has so far raised over $700 000 worldwide for twenty different organizations, ranging from grassroots community projects to well established large charities from all over the world.

Yoga Aid has transformed from a grassroots fundraising effort into an international phenomenon and in 2010 Vancouver will host the first ever Yoga Aid event in Canada.  Challengers fundraise for one of three charities and then participate in a two hour, outdoor, yoga class on Vancouver’s very own Jericho Beach.  This will be the flagship event for Yoga Aid in Canada and organizers have selected imagine1day as one of the beneficiaries which challengers can support.  Teaching the class will be Vancouver’s leading Yoga instructors including Alli Warnyca, Andrea Spiegel, Daniel Clement, Danielle Mika Nagel, Eoin Finn, Erica Blitz, Kristin Campbell and Nico Luce.
